My approach to personal, athletic, and exercise training is simple. Personalize, Integrate and Empower. I design my training sessions and advise based on your goals, my knowledge and your lifestyle. I work to help you integrate physical fitness into your life for the long run. And it is my personal goal to empower you to reach your potential in a healthy and sustainable way.
My philosophies and techniques are drawn from several sources.
First and foremost is the wisdom from training under Rich Barretta. Rich is Mr. America 1987, an internationally sought-after personal trainer/fitness expert and my mentor. He has taught me to maximize results through his time-proven techniques for dropping weight, improving strength, sculpting an attractive physique and improving athletic performance.
Secondly, my own personal yoga practice over the last 10 years influences my understanding of the human body. As a result, I strive to strike a balance between strength and flexibility, balance and movement, focus and breathing, change and sustainability. Drawing from Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Bikram styles of yoga I incorporate philosophies of movement and breath.
Of course my work is built on top of the knowledge and experience I bring as an Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, Thai Massage Practitioner, and Japanese Shiatsu Practitioner.
I work to develop personal training sessions that will help you to accomplish your personal fitness and health goals. I emphasize proper form and breathing, personal empowerment and learning, compassion and support, truth and motivation.
